• İzlediğin videonun transkripti ve isteğin (özet, sohbet sorusu vb.) doğrudan seçtiğin yapay zeka sağlayıcısına (Anthropic, Google veya OpenAI) gönderilir.
• Çeviri motoru olarak ücretsiz Google çevirisini seçersen, altyazı satırları çeviri için doğrudan Google Translate'e (translate.googleapis.com) gönderilir.
• Geçmiş, kayıtlı kelimeler, notlar (video karesi dahil), şablonlar ve ayarlar yalnızca tarayıcında saklanır.

English

PikVidi is a Chrome extension that provides summaries, transcripts, chat and language-learning tools for YouTube, Udemy, Vimeo and TED videos. This page explains what data we process and why.

1. Using your own API key (default)

• Your API key is stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local) and is never sent to us.
• The transcript of the video you watch and your request (summary, chat question, etc.) are sent directly to the AI provider you choose (Anthropic, Google or OpenAI).
• If you choose the free Google translation engine, subtitle lines are sent directly to Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com) for translation.
• History, saved words, notes (including video frames), templates and settings are stored only in your browser.

2. Using an account (optional)

• Sign in with Google: we store your Google account ID, email address and name, plus a session token. No other Google data (Gmail, Drive, your YouTube account, etc.) is requested.
• If "Use with my account" is on: the transcript and request are relayed through our server to Anthropic. The content is not stored; only usage data for quotas and costs (task type, token counts, cost, video length, date) is recorded.
• Telegram digest: your Telegram chat ID, the IDs and names of the YouTube channels you follow, and the video summaries generated for the digest are stored.

3. Access on video pages

The extension runs only on youtube.com, udemy.com (course lectures), vimeo.com (including embedded Vimeo players) and ted.com. To provide its features it reads the captions/transcript and title of the video you watch and, if you ask for a comment summary, the comments loaded on the page. Your browsing history is not collected. For the digest and list summaries, videos from channels you follow are opened in a quiet background tab and summarized.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising or tracking, and we use no analytics. Data is passed only to these providers to deliver the service: Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini, Google Translate, Google Sign-In), OpenAI (ChatGPT, only if you choose it with your own key), Telegram (digest messages). Our server is hosted by Hostinger (Germany).

5. Google user data

PikVidi's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Deletion

The "Delete my account" button in the extension settings permanently deletes all your data on our server (account, usage records, Telegram link, followed channels, digest summaries). Data in your browser is removed when you uninstall the extension. Questions and deletion requests: pikrowdev@gmail.com
